ScreamFest Halloween is in full swing in Beltline! People of all ages have been flocking to ScreamFest at the Grandstand Building at Stampede Park to enjoy a good scare. Equipped with 9 different haunted houses, games, and a great selection of live entertainment, it was an even for all gouls and ghasts. One attendee said ... nothing, cause they were too busy screaming! If you're not scared yet, wait untill they bring on the "you ate whaaaaat?" contest This event is listed as PG 13, but it is dependant on the children as all ages were there. Doors are open from 7 pm til Midnight, and alcohol is available at the bar for those of age. For more information on ScreamFest please see their website: |

Alberta Health Services We also want to take this time to pass on a message from the Government of Alberta: Alberta Health Services EMS would like to remind parents and trick-or-treaters of some basic Halloween safety tips as October 31st approaches. As a member of the Calgary’s Child Magazine Partners for Safety, ambulances, along with Calgary police, fire, bylaw, transit, and Shaw Cable vehicles will be out patrolling communities on Halloween night to provide a visible safety resource for parents and trick-or-treaters |
Trick-or-Treaters • Remember: all regular pedestrian rules still apply. Be sure to cross the road at marked cross walks or well lit corners only. It is safest to work your way up one side of the street and then cross once to the other side. • Stay away from houses that are not well lit and do not accept rides from strangers or enter any home you feel is unsafe. • Let your parents know where you are going to be at all times and advise them if you will be late returning.
